Thank you for all those who attended my webcast today on SQL Plan Management for All India Oracle User Group. It was a privilege to present before you and to be able to address your questions. I am sorry I couldn;t read all the questions properly; since it was extremely difficult to see the questions scrolling up in the tiny chat window. Also, as the webcast was designed, I couldn't hear anything the attendees were saying.

The presentation and the associated SQL scripts are available here. The article I referred to can be found here.

If you have a question regarding that specific webcast, please post a comment here and I will address it here. Please, limit your questions to the material discussed in the webcast only.

@Alberto: Thanks for the compliments. About coming to Italy, it's at the request of the local user group. I could come physically; but I don't need to. We can have a webcast as well. But in any case the local user group has to invite.

Arup,

I did same step as you mentioned in this article but i am sorry it will not work ( i am using ASM with 2 node primary and 2 node rac with DG Broker setup)

It started compalinign to restore the datafile 1.

I resloved on ASM as follows

1) Take incremental backup
2) apply the incremental backup or RECOVER DATABASE NOREDO; ( looks crazy but it works)

Now on primary:

3) BACKUP CURRENT CONTROLFILE FOR STANDBY FORMAT

now on stanbdy
RESTORE STANDBY CONTROLFILE FROM

SWITCH DATABASE TO COPY;

start the broker

It works like charm :)

Note: my our intention is reslove the archive log gap.

Correct me if i am wrong.

Kind Regards,
Rakesh
